Eyra Riesling Brut

This sparkling Riesling, made using the 'Methode Traditionelle', is a blend of 2011 and 2013 vintages. It is as if you can hear the chalk in the vineyard’s soil speak to you, so the term ‘mineral’ is never far off. This is what makes Riesling wines so unique: a fresh acidity, ripe deciduous fruits and stone fruit, with a pleasant bitterness in the aftertaste. All enveloped in soft bubbles. Pure natural enjoyment!

When this Eyra is first decanted and left to rest for a moment, the wine will really reveal its identity and you can experience its full complexity. An excellent glass of wine as an aperitif or matching beautifully with salads, fish, crustaceans, and shellfish, but it also offers a surprising contrast with white meat.

Erik Sauter:

"We taste many premium wines based on chardonnay, pinot noir and pinot meunier, both professionally and for pleasure, but the Riesling works remarkably well here. This is a worthy alternative to other superior and more expensive sparkling wines, including Champagne’s finest."
